TURNING THE INTERIOR ON THE OUTSIDE, MASSIVE BLOCKS OF METAL AND CONCRETE ARE MIXED WITH THE DEAD BODIES OF PEOPLE. THE BOMBED AND DAMAGED PRIVATE INTERIORS BECOME AVAILABLE TESTIMONY FOR EVERYONE.
THE PHOTO GALLERIES OF OUR SMARTPHONES MIX PRIVATE PHOTOS WITH PICTURES OF DESTROYED ARCHITECTURE FROM THE INTERNET, MEMES ABOUT WAR, CORPSES OF RUSSIAN SOLDIERS, SCREENSHOTS OF TEXTS ABOUT HELP.
“EVERYTHING MIXED UP” IS A SERIES BY YEVHEN SAMBORSKY ABOUT COLLECTIVE IMAGES OF DESTRUCTION.
I’VE MET FULL-SCALE INVASION AT HOME IN KYIV, WHERE I HAVE BEEN LIVING FOR THE LAST TEN YEARS.
Due to this, I was forced to move to a village in western Ukraine, taking only the most necessary things that fit in a small backpack.
MY PRACTICE DURING LAST YEARS IS RELATED TO DRAWING. I BOUGHT PAPER AND KIDS’ WATERCOLOR PAINTS AT THE LOCAL STORE TO BE ABLE TO WORK.
